Stress has become something we just ‘deal with’.

We have become a society that is quick to reject stress

as a serious issue that has a HUGE impact on our mental, physical and emotional health. 

Maybe you have felt certain pressures, worries, stress in areas of your life and have simply “carried on” 

Our ability to cope with stress and pressure says a lot. There are two common things that happen with prolonged exposure to mental, physical or emotional stress 

  1. Our nervous system adapts to the stress and we now recognise the triggers as normal - we carry on without recognising the negative impacts the stress is having on our health - we become better at coping although the impacts on the mind and body are still very real 

  2. We experience feedback from our bodies. Pain, discomfort, weight gain, inflammation, weight gain, weight loss, hormonal changes, emotional outbursts, anxiety, panic attacks, chronic fatigue, depression, overwhelm 

Without taking a moment to sit and reflect on our emotional home and our environment and how areas of our life may be stress inducing, we will continue to experience the effects. 

Unconsciously we develop coping mechanisms which may or may not be helpful and will impact how we nourish our bodies, how we move our bodies, how we think and feel.

When we become aware, we allow ourselves to take aligned action to make healthy and happy change.
